Default Member Behavior & Expectations

Ok folks I have reached my official limit. We have rules on this site that are very basic and simple to follow. I am done dealing with childish and immature kids and adults.

So from here on out you threaten a staff member, forum member or the site in any form you are gone. I will ask no question and I will issue no warning. No member and no staff member should ever have to deal with an email I just received. If you violate a rule and you get an infraction, warning or ban deal with and shut up.

The site staff are volunteers who take their time to attempt at making this a great site and community. As such they do not get paid by you nor anyone else. They do the job because they want to. So unless you wish to start sending them a pay check I do not want to hear one single complaint. If you have an issue with a staff member you are to address that issue with me not them.

This site is to be a family friendly site and a site where anyone can ask any question that is legit and receive the assistance they need without fear of someone talking smack. If you see a question asked and can not contribute then do not post. If I see any member giving a noob a hard time for asking what they deem a dumb question you get a 30 day time out. You will not get a warning. You talk back or talk smack to my staff that ban become permanent. I will no longer tolerate superior attitude towards any member for any reason.

Cursing will be dealt with via censors. You go around my censors you will get a 3 day time out. Don't like it to bad. Deal with it. This excludes the Underground.

I have the ability to view IP addresses and I have the ability to ban IP addresses and I will do that if I have to.

Remember posting on this site is a privileged not a god given right. Do not throw freedom of speech at me. Sorry but that only applies to dealings with the government. It does not apply to private entities such as this site. When you signed up you agreed to the rules whether you read them or not. Don't like the rules then leave. Bottom line it's my house, my rules and I have the right to throw you out. So until IB removed me as admin deal with it.

If you have any questions ask and I will gladly answer them.

If you post a response it damn well better not be a complaint about what I have posted or the rules. Cause at this moment you will get an auto 7 day timeout. Are we clear.

Well said!! I have noticed a growing "smack talking" atmosphere as of late too. I am glad we have the folks here to keep this a family friendly site. There are sites like Pirate 4x4 for that type of behavior. I will say that 99.9% of the guys on here are AWESOME!!! Always more than willing to help out....but it only takes a few to ruin it for everyone. Thanks ADMIN's for doing a great job....this truly is a great site to be a member of so lets keep it that way fellas!!

Wow. Well said man. As members most need to realize that were all "newbs" once and knew nothing. So its much less irritating to give an awnser and point in the right direction then start a flame war.

Well said, and it is a shame when people forget just how hard a Mod has to work to make a site work well. It should not be such a burden on the Mod or Admin that it should take away their joy of the site.

Can we "bump" this to keep it at the top like the "Attention! Read the stickies!" ??

just to show you guys what we deal with... (i dont mind sharing it and will be sure to leave it bleeped properly) this is after finding a thread that a guy was talking about wheeling illegally and how they are trying to stop him but hes using all these ways to sneak in because his families been doing it since they were kids so he wasnt about to stop... yatta yatta yatta... closed it and i told him he was a idiot for doing this and ruining our hobby and bad rep and the normal yatta yatta... pretty much told him if it was my property i would burn his jeep to the ground so i would no longer have to worry about his illegal wheeling habbits and complete disrespect to all destroying my property... so this was the PM i got...

"Eat one ***hole, mind ya own business, and never threaten anyones vehicle again ya jackass. Or your will be the one that gets it. Get it. **** Cherokeeforum, and **** you."

This is what we deal with pretty often and it sucks because then these people will go off running there mouth about how we did them so wrong and try starting a bad rep for the site and us as individuals... i know im not the most politically correct mod here and am pretty straight to it and some things may seem mean when they are meant more sarcastically but ill drink a beer with anyone here and i promise on my right hand (very important to me...) all these mods and admin are guys (and gal) that you would drink a beer with and would help you in anyway they could... and that doesnt only go for jeep related junk... i mean "anyway" as in anything... if they can they will... promise...

OK then, it's Beer Thirty!

I've gotten a few messages from members similar to that one(I Mod on two other sites) it's no fun at all dealing with people that are just one notch above the food chain at times.
