Are there any good trails in PA other than Roush Creek?

Please post these questions in you local wheeling neighborhood forum... This section is for reporting on the trails that you have just wheeled... not for asking where they are.

Any Good Trails? There Are TONS Where I'm From
I Posted These Directions On Another Post And Figured I Could Help Y'all Out Too.
I was born and raised in Shamokin, But grew up in the hills surrounding it. The trails consist of coal dirt or clay. but there are some beautiful areas through out the place. The EASIEST way i can tell anyone on how to find the Elusive Trails Of Shamokin, PA is by taking Route 61 until you hit Market St. then follow Market St. SOUTH until you hit Bear Valley Rd. Countinue along Bear Valley Rd for about 1/2 you'll hit a stop sign and there should be what we call the bus barn ( it's a school bus storage area) across the st. to your left. now you can go left and find some nice LEGAL trails about 2 miles down the road to your right, It's beautiful mine reclomation land. OR you Can continue to go straight and you will hit what Is the 3rd PATCH about 2 miles down the road. When you see the 'NO WINTER MAINTENANCE BEYOND THIS POINT SIGNS' You Should Probably Slow Down To About 20 MPH, there Are some pretty big pot holes, nothing new for PA drivers, And since there Is no center line, sometimes people ride The middle of The road. I Hope This Helps, Any More Questions Feel Free To Ask And I'll Help You Out To The Best Of my Abilities. If you have a GPS just type in 2246 Anthracite Road, Shamokin, PA 17872. Thats basically where the trail starts. you can also google that address and see the area out there it's beautiful Here is a video (NOT ME) of so guys wheelin' the trails. |
Wow dude that's awesome! Thanks for the heads up. Next time I'm down in pa I'll have to check it out!

There's a ton of trails in PA. Out in the coal region (Mt. Carmel, Ashland etc.) it's wheeltastic. I'm from Williamsport, there's quite a few spots we go around here. Of course thanks to the growing gas industry (ugh. don't get me started) the trails are getting closed and our beautiful offroad scenery is turning into oil pads... |
