Took the Gremlin out to play this weekend at URE. My buddy brought his Excursion as well. We camped Friday night and then met up with C.O.R.E. Saturday morning. We started up Rocky Mtn Loop but a mile in he got hung up on some water breaks since the truck was so long and we decided to take his truck back to the parking lot. We then met back up with the others in the group. Next we rode up Dickey Bell which was pretty easy up until the last leg of the trail which is a climb up some bad rocks. This was the hardest part of the weekend as most of the group had at least 5 inches of lift and 35s and I only have 2 inches and 31s. I was confident until my spotter asked me if this was my DD and if I was ok with damage. Yea not a big boost of confidence lol. I have some dash cam video if I can figure out how to upload it. I made it up the first section without much trouble. When I got to the second section there was a ledge that was giving everyone some problems. I didnt have the front clearance to take the smoother path so we worked a way around but I slid into a big crack and got hung. This is where I smashed my rocker.

Eventually with some rocking and power braking since im open diff I got started up the ledge and made it over. The next section involved another ledge while on a slightly off camber turn. I made it up this with little trouble. The rest of the trail was just navigating around and over rocks. No problem. When I got to the top the trail boss walks up and says "you got nerves to take this in this rig, nerves and some skill to boot".

After this we rode up the back side of Daniel. This was mostly just some steep dirt trails with some loose rocks. Some of the guys rode Daniel which is by far the hardest trail there. Steep rocky and ledges any way you go. We had one guy in a built CJ to break an axle and another guy in a buggy rolled. No injuries thankfully.

After they finished on Daniel we headed back to the parking lot and then went back to camp.

Today me and my buddy decided to do some trails he could do in his excursion. We headed up to the Cotton Place trail head which was about 2 miles from camp. We then took Daniel from there to the bottom of the bad section. With me spotting he made it up and back down with no problems.

Then we headed back down to the trail head and drove to the Slab Pile trail head and rode it to the Slab pile. I played around and let the Gremlin stretch her legs and then we stopped for lunch

After lunch we continued down Slab Pile trail which led us to Rocky Mtn loop and then back to the parking lot. After that we decided to call it a day and went our separate ways. He went on and I reconnected my sway bar and aired back up my tires.

Hers just a few more pics.
