Default Labor Day 2008

Me a three friends went camping in the Taylor Park area 8/1/08-8/4/08, and these are some of the pics from our trip.

Grabbing a bite to eat before we hit the road, MMMMM greasy breakfast!!

The east side of Cottonwood Pass.

Getting camp set up the first night, it's starting to rain a bit.

Pulled the rope out of the chainsaw right out of the gate.....SWEEEET!!!

A shot up the creek the next morning, some nasty weather was moving in!!

Starting up Italian Creek Road after the weather burned off, nice!!

Pictures just don't do this justice, it's truly beautiful up there!!

A beaver pond on the way up Italian Creek.

Cherokees on top of the world!! We are on American Flag Mountain, it's at about 13,000' elevation!!

A waterfall along Cement Creek Road.

Greg and Sean coming down Scholfield Pass, pretty narrow!!

Just to the left of my DS rear tire is where 9 people in a Suburban slid off and died in 1979. This was the most deadly off road accident in CO history!!

This is a shot out of my window as I went through, it's a LONG way down!!

A shot of a waterfall at the top of Devil's Punchbowl on Scholfield Pass Road.

Dude, I want a larger version of that American Flag Mountain pic to put on my desktop!

Those tight spots would make my arsehole recoil in horror.

The wheeling that we did that week was pretty easy, but the scenery more than made up for the lack of trail obstacles!!

If I didn't want to go see my grandkids this upcoming summer I would come see you in Colorado Springs COS. That has to be some of the most beautiful parts of the whole country.

Yeah, you don't want to miss the special time with the grandchildren!! Some of my fondest memories of my childhood were with my grandparents!! That's an easy choice if you ask me!! Anytime you can pull away, I have a sleeper sofa!! Later buddy!!
