Elden Mountain climb in F350 Superduty (Northern AZ)

Just some pictures I took here in Northern AZ. Its called the Elden Lookout trail, drove it in a 99 7.3L Ford F350 Superduty. Not hard at all. Buddy came through with a 2wd Grand Cherokee. Slid in the ice, but he made it up. First big snow, we're gonna try and make it up!
Attachment 355892 Attachment 355893 vvv you can see part of the trail. Look really close, you can see the green GC sitting on the trail. Attachment 355894 the Princess Attachment 355895 Attachment 355896 |

You know I've hiked up there from the trailhead near the KOA campgrounds, I had no idea there was a road.

Love that area, have been twice. Trying to come back in 2013 for a week or two.
Drove Elden Mt in a rental Patriot first time :icon_eek:, 2nd time was in a rental GC. Not bad, but some of the rocks made some marks under the Patriot I am sure the rental maintenance guys were puzzled about. |
I just posted some flagstaff and sedona pics myself. Nice trail you posted.
