Take a friend and go in at least pairs of Jeeps. If you break or get stuck that will keep you from a long lonely walk. JMHO

Smart move. Hope you don't need the trailer.

If you have time and are going through some decent size waterholes I would consider extending your tranny vent.

Where are you going to???

I also live in Illinois...
I'm always looking for more folks to wheel with, or wrench with...

But other than that..Make sure your Jeep is in good shape. As you wheel your jeep will let you know what parts need upgraded or changed.

Looks like a fun place, glad your first experience with wheeling is a legal one you are doing a good thing for all off-roaders alike.

BTW I moved your thread because I modified this section a bit to accommodate for upcoming trail events.

Take a look at my pics from the action shot thread.... They are on trail 1 at Cliff's.

I live only about 45 minutes west of Sycamore right on Il. 64. So howdy neighbor!

If you have never been to Cliff's, one word..... MUD.. Lots and lots of it. Then some more mud, and a little more mud. And it can be some of the stinkest, nastiest mud you have ever been in. Take a trash bag also, for some trail clean-up.

Go to Farm and fleet over on Sycamore Road(Dekalb Avenue) and get yourself a pair of knee high rubber boots. I have a pair of concrete finishers boots from there and they work wonders...

You know you are at the Cliff's when you see ATV'ers playing in the mud...in the parking lot...

But its been relatively dry, so it will only be REALLY muddy down there.
