Anyone with Kentucky trail info?

Planning a move to Kentucky in the late spring. Wondering if there are any nearby trails? Specifically, I'll be moving to the Somerset area. Thanks!

Harlan KY has the black mountain offroad area. It appears to be about 2 hrs from where you will be. I make a yearly 13hr trip there so its definitely worth the time.

Along the Kentucky/Tennessee boarder are some great places to ride. Red river gorge is in eastern ky(great place). Dirty turtle is by the speedway. Then you have Harlan, windrock, royal blue sandmines, AOP.Rush offroad park in Virginia. There are more too.

Most of these listed above are just a couple hour drive from there

I'm new here and newbie xj owner. Are there any trails near Louisville or Frankfort area? I may have to plan on a weekend trip to Harlan. I never thought I'd be considering vacationing in Harlan. Lol.......it is beautiful country.

I'm new to the off road stuff too but I'm dying to get out there. I spend a lot of time in the red river gorge, but usually just for rock climbing. My dream scenario would be to find an awesome trail that led to an amazing cliff full of climbs.

There are loads of trails in Zachariah just past Natural bridge in the Red river gorge area. I am just getting my XJ together, but can gladly guide that area to anyone.
There are areas in Richmond, Morehead, and Yes Halan and Hazard and surrounding as that has mostly been coal mined.

Cool man. I'll take you up on that guide day some time. Some friends went down Spaas Creek a few months back. They said it was pretty gnar but they're all rookies off road too lol. Can't wait to take this thing out soon.
