XJ HVAC vacuum actuator lever
This is a little bracket that connects between the vacuum actuator for the defrost and the vent door. It's plastic in construction, has a torx type key on the vent door side and little peg for the actuator arm to connect - this is on the driver's side of the heating and air conditioning assembly. You'll likely have to have the HVAC assembly out from under the dash. If you've got one, I'll give ya money for it. Hell, I'll take that panel door actuator lever while you're at it.

Please PM me if you have one. I'll make it worth your time.
Thanks,
Brandon

I just replaced both the panel and defrost levers in my 97 Cherokee. The below link is only one place you can find them:

Google "hvac door lever" or "plenum door lever" and you should find them quickly. I removed my entire dash to get to mine. It made replacing them easy but what a PIA to take the dash out. If they are broken off just remove the broken part from the actuator arm then take a 3" screw and screw it into the part still stuck in the door. I used a pair of pliers to hold the screw once it was in then whacked it with a hammer to pop the broken piece out. New ones snapped right in. They are different lengths if you are replacing both so pay attention. Good Luck!

Why did you need to replace them? I ask because my 2000 XJ runs cold air, but will not transfer from defrost to any other position. I didn't know if it was vacuum related or what.
