I do not know if you still are looking for flat flares.
If so I have a new, full set of Bushwacker XJ flat flares.
Flat Style, Bushwaker's newest. fits 2 & 4 dr XJ's,

Sounds personal & painfull.
think Bushwaacker has a pdf of the install directions.
Maybe you can tell from that if they will fit.
