Wanted: 99-newer XJ Manual Tranny

Located in NYC and in need of a manual transmission for a 4.0 V6 99 XJ.

It ll be difficult for ya to find one. Only 4.0 V6 came in ford explorers

My apologies, I thought I've listed it correctly 4.0L 6-cylinder Manual Jeep.
Is it that hard to find?

There was no manual option offered in 00-01. I believe u can use any ax15 from 91-99

Late 1989–1999: Aisin-Warner AX15 5-speed manual, used with 2.5 L I4 diesel, 4.0 L I6, 23 spline output.

2000–2001: New Venture Gear NV3550 5-speed manual, used with 2.5 L I4 diesel, 4.0 L I6, 23 spline output.

**apologies for the silly question, am I not able to use a 2000/2001 transmission for my 1999? I've seen 2000 and 2001 xi's listed on craigslist with manual transmissions and was curious if I can just do a swap**

well they came from wranglers. Not sure if they have done swaps into Cherokees though. If they did, then go for it

the nv3550 isnt the same size as an ax15 so you might have driveshaft issues

Thank you for the advice guys! I've found a few local sellers that are asking in the 500-800 range. My research have the ax15's as being pretty readily available (since they were in both Wranglers and Cherokee's) and curious if anybody have ever seen them in the 200 range (in the 100-160k mileage under them).
