IMO, the Aussie is harder to than a Spartan install due to the springs/pins. I think I would look at the Lock Right too.

I've only installed 4 Aussies and never had any trouble with the springs or pins. The axle grease holds everything together nicely. And I could pop the springs in with just my finger. Don't have.any experience with the Spartan tho so I have to base for comparison

I love my Aussie in the front possibly because its there when I need it and I forget its there when I don't but I daily my Xj 65 miles a day and I've heard stories about auto lockers and road manners I'm sure everyone has. Does anyone run autos both front and rear? If so how do they ride do you notice it? Any unwanted popping? How are they in the snow?

I run aussies front and rear on my dd. Takes a little getting used to. I've had it in about 2 months and barely notice it at all anymore. I park in a garage at work and can now circle all the way up to the rooftop without much noise.

Doesn't sound to bad I don't drive like a maniac or anything like that but I do alot of highway driving as well as city so driving if an Aussie in the rear is anything like my front then ill be happy

You should have asked me man. Definitely lock right. The aussies have been good but Im starting to see problems with them after being installed for a year or so. Just like Tims. He will be getting a lockright from me too.
Ill get you a price on a lockright, and a detroit, or anything else you are considering, just let me know.

Yea tims is steering me away from an Aussie at least in the rear my front Aussie has been great but then again it only gets use when in 4wd Steve was telling me you get parts for pretty good prices just let me know what it'll be for the lock right
