Need a transmission!! 97-01 model jeep 4.0 aw4
 

i Have a 97 cherokee sport and need a transmission. if you have one with low miles and have some form of proof along with a reasonable price i will gladly buy it. please text, or call 828-284-7075

Ive got one in Stokesdale from an 00, but dont know the mileage.....
Was a daily driver until a rear end wreck. $150 takes it home.

There is a connector that wont match id love the newer one but mine supposedly has a 5 prong connector to the tcu and yours has an 8 prong connector. I also think i messaged you on another thread you had. If you can tell me or show me how or even send a link on how to make the newer on work ill do it. Well i really need the milage too. Thats a scary move for me. I have to depend on this thing and it has to haul my little girl. Not calling you a liar about how it runs, this is a precaution id like to take with any one i check out

only a 97 trans will work in a 97 unless you want to tear into it a little and change some stuff over.

i have a 97 trans with a new neutral safety switch... PM me an offer. i only took it out to swap for a 5 speed.

I've posted about it on here before. You have to use a 98 and earlier trans and swap a 97 wire harness and solenoids into it. Possibly the kickdown cable as well.
