ya true true, ah man this sucks tho, i was already for a big trip to the iron range tomarrow and i find out i dont have any 4x4 when i engage it, the DS just grinds. o well i actually found one on CL out of a 98 zj im picking up tomarrow for 150$

what do you think it is? when i stomp on the gas pedal the fron DS pops out of gear and grinds but doesnt spin but fulltime 4 works all the time no problem

Not sure. Take it apart and you might find out. It is just gears and a chain for most part.

i got one from matejcekautoworks today we met and i picked up a 242 and a head with exhaust and intake manifolds on it and the down pipe. so im good now, got all the parts i wanted

I have a242 out of a 93 xj. As far as trades? What do you have to swap? Shipping is just part of the process here.
