I'm looking for a good running 4.0 for a 97 XJ that I just picked up. Looking for a direct swap. 97-early 99? Semi local to Milmay NJ 08340 . I'm willing to travel 2 hrs one way. Prefer under 150k but will consider others.

97 will still have a distributor, 99+ will have coil packs.

Wrong. My 99 has a distributor. 2000+ are coil packs.

Mine is a late model 99 and it still doesn't.

yea mine too. its only 2000+ that have coil packs and the 0331 head. i have never seen a 99 with coil packs.

Hopefully I find one for this 97 before I decide to part it.

if u werecloser I would be askin how much youd sell it for; I have a 97 with windshield channel rust issues. and Id like to transplant my 125K mile 4.0.
