You can get these parts new for dirt cheap.

ok on the CCV valves/elbows..for a 92-93 model.

Front part# is 53030591 Cost is $2.28 Plus shipping

Rear Part# 53030492 Cost is $3.25 plus shipping This also comes with the vacuum hoses themselves.

Both parts can be bought at mopardiscountparts.com and these are factory parts.

No prob cheap as heck to get. You can also buy new vacuum hoses if you need them adn I can get you the part numbers for those as well. I would replace both if it was me. If one broke won't be long and the other will as well.

1993 Jeep CCV elbow removal?

What is the trick to removing that rear elbow? I am trying to remove the valve cover so I can clean out the build up but I cant pull off the cover because the CCV elbow is hitting. Just in case this needs clarity; this is the elbow on top of the rocker arm cover. The one towards the back, or passenger compartment.

as far as i know you have to remove the valve cover... and while you have it off i would cut a li bit off of that tunnel that leads up to the valve.... the reson they always go bad is because this is so close to the rockers that it sucks up a bunch of crap and get clogged... then it starts spittin oil in your air filter:icon_mad: nobody likes that im gunna be doin this to mine soon i just need the money for the parts but ill do a write up on it

"Remove cover"....cant

Thanks for the reply. I was planing to remove the cover. That is where this mess started. Thing is, I still have to get that CCVelbow off and out of the way so I can.

i have gotten mine off without removing the elbow.... just gotta take the hoses off... and wiggle the cover the right way it pops off there... i did have to unbolt the throttle cables and move some linkages around though
