I'm considering buying another 5-Speed Cherokee and am looking for one in either Ohio or New York, It has to be 97 and up, not to worried about mileage but I'd like it to be at least somewhat Clean and not beat to death. Lifted or non-lifted is fine but I'm not looking for something to modified. Stock would be perfect, I sadly dont have a ton of cash to spend so $2500 and under would be great. Let me know what you've got, I may have some room to work with depending on the XJ. Really hoping something turns up, running out of options for looking for another XJ.

I've already got an Auto 97. My plan was to buy a 5-speed and then sell my 97 but I've considered a tranny swap, just alot more work on a 97 because theres no marking for the master cylinder on the fire wall

Well as clean as it is im sorry I couldnt except anything other then a 5-Speed unless it was rediculess cheap. Its very clean and he shouldnt have a problem selling it for around that price, If I was looking for a clean stock Auto itd be at the top of my list

A buddy of mine parted out a 1990 5 speed i live on long island he said hell sell everything to convert it to a 5 speed for 300 pedals tranny fly wheel clutch slave cylinder cross member . My other friend is selling a 1998 xj 2 inch budget boost 150000 miles body is kind of rough condition wants 1000 non neg. 5 speed skids all around c8.25 29 spline rear 4.0 ax15 np 231 body is beat but would make a great swap for your 97

 

How beat is beat? I dont mind alittle damage but if its totaled its useless to me, I can get all the parts for the swap for $500 from a local junkyard out of a 2-door here. I'd like to keep my 2-door but Its more then likely getting sold. Do you have any other info on the jeep or how bad it might be beat?
