4.0L Engine

Looking for a nice 4.0L that I can put into my 97 Cherokee. I spun a bearing in mine but everything else was working, so I can swap accessories if needed. Just would like something that would do 20/miles a day daily for the next 9 months or so.

Located in NJ. Looking to buy right now.

guess you didn't need the motor as I haven't heard from you or was my price to high

I have a complete 4.0L engine from a '95 xj with 173,580 miles on it. It is still in the Jeep and can be heard run before being pulled. You will have to swap your accessories, but otherwise it will bolt in. Everything in included minus the flywheel. Normal minor leaks, sounds healthy, starts up nice and easy. Runs rich and idles at 1000-1100 rpms which leads me to believe either the MAP sensor is going out or it has a vacuum leak.

Located in Allentown, Pa 18103.

Selling for $200.

Replied. Sorry for the delay.

Thanks but I can't afford to fix/find a problem right now. If I had the time, I'd consider it but I need to get something running in there soon.

The engine runs like a champ, just idles a little high. I can put a map sensor out of one of my other Jeeps in it to see if that's the problem or not.

You ever find a 4.0? I have a 96' with 126k miles on it. I have a video of it running when I pulled it. Its prolly one the cleanest engines. Located in Las Vegas, NV though.
