I have an 87 xj for sale
The good
4 door, 4 wheel drive, 3 inch rough country lift, 4.0 inline 6, peugot tranny, interior is in good shape(couple small tears on the seats, little odd and end trim pieces off or missing), body and belly are solid.

The bad
needs some work, could use a paint job, needs a clutch possibly flywheel. needs fuel system work. will need at least one tire. 225,000 miles (approximately speedo stopped working a couple weeks before this happened)

Last year i was driving home from work and traffic came to a sudden stop due to an accident. i briefly locked up my brakes. once i tried to get going again, it would sputter and shutter till i got going at a higher rpm. at high rpms ran beautiful. lower rpms extremely rough and dies won't idle. needless to say i was able to get it going enough to get home. bout 10 miles. parked it in the driveway and long story short i haven't had the time or the money to put into it. it has been sitting for about 8 months. instead of it sitting longer i am choosing to sell it.

I am located south of Pittsburgh. My asking price is 1000.00 obo. Pick up only i do not have the means to tow it. it will have to be towed.

So i have had somethings come up I'm getting ready to move so i really need to get rid of the xj. would anyone have any intrest in it for 500 firm. I would at least like to cover my cost on the lift i put on.

Hmm to bad I am not in your area I'd get just for parts alone..If it has a D44 rear end it would be well worth $500.. You might post it on Craigs list...
