Hey Sorry for the mix up. Although, these are a direct bolt on for the XJ's and TJ's. No adapter bracket is required for the TJ's like most after market seats.

do these lay forward so they can be used in 2 door xj's?

Using your regular slider. They reclined back and to upright.
