to a CherokeeForum member and we want YOU to enter!

We want to see the rowdiest XJ picture,
and story to go along with it.
If you wish to enter, reply to the this thread

you jeep-heads to vote for the winner by Monday the 14th.

We will read and enjoy all submissions,
and choose 5 finalists to go to the ballot.

The Dragoneer - airbrushed by QSTG01

I have had this Jeep for 10 years but she has been a yard ornament for the last 3-4, or at least until I need something to practice airbrushing on. ;) I just started learning airbrushing last year and I was tired of airbrushing on paper so I brought the header panel to this Jeep in the house.... it turned out better than I expected. I was then in the backyard for the next 2 months airbrushing it.

This spring my husband and I swapped the axles (she now has Ford 8.8 in the rear) 4:88 gears, disc brakes, removed 4.5 short arms and installed 6.5 long arms, 35" MasterCraft tires, ION Alloy Wheels, Tuff Stuff front Bumper, 12,000 lb winch, 4 core radiator, 3 fan shroud, 129 amp alternator, new water pump, Durango steering gear box, new steering pump and hoses, new sensors, new cpm, new exhaust, new to me interior panels, leather seats, CB, MOLLE Gear, and more all in the back yard!

After all the upgrades I happy to announce that she climbs like a mountain goat!!! Paint job and all she still goes out on the trails. She always has been and always will be my trail rig!!! Find out more info about the #Dragoneer here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG4...e4_78wiTwlMHPw

She has been featured in JPFreek Adventure Magazine Fall 2016 (Link in my signature) and front page of Baraboo News Republic

Nelly

Ol' Nelly was the first car I ever bought when I was 16, bone stock as can be. Coming on 6 years of ownership, 3 engines, 2 transfer cases, 5 tire sizes, 3 axle swaps and a lot of late nights, she's become the woman she is today.

I never planned on going above 31 inch tires, it's just snowballed to where I look at it now and laugh at what I've built. It does everything I ask and more. Will take a beating all weekend and can still drive 75mph down the road to work the next day.

I love this Jeep, the memories it's given me and the lifelong friends I've met because of it. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...e113c12e3c.jpg

Driving around the basin of an empty bay during a hurricane when the water returned as a storm surge. Next time I will be sure and check the 'stormsurge forecast'.

The Jeep on which i was learning how to drive. Took a lot of beating, on some hard, European trails, and won a lot of trophies in the off road competitions.
On one of the rallies the jeep rolled over, my dad and I straightened the roof and continued the rally without the front windshield, but the angine took water in some super deep pond, and hydro locked... Other than that, this XJ was one of our nicest Jeeps
Long arms front and rear conversion, 34" simex tires, 5,5" lift, a lot of modyfictions inside and out.

This jeep taught me a lot about cherokees.

That you can run stock arms on 5 inch lift and not die.

That you can still have mad flex with 5 inch lift and modified stock brake lines.

That 35s will not blow up a locked up dana 30.

That if you just build a stroker 3.55 gears running 35s isn't so bad.

That with a big hammer and sawzall you don't need bump stops.

That you don't need recovery points if you just drive out of what you drove into.

That you can have fun on a budget, even when I couldnt afford to buy the good stuff. Like Ruffstuff!

Those are some epic pictures, and sounds like some valuable lessons have been learned along the way ;-)

However, unfortunately this contest has run it's course already, and the winner is That PurpleXJ with Old Nelly.

Thank's for sharing, and remember "CHEROKEE" will take 10% off any order with us if we don't have another sale already going.
