Sweet! Did you happen to get any more pics of it installed? Like how close the tire is to the hatch, how well it meets up with body and lights and with the carrier down for hatch access?

THESE NOW FIT 97-01 JEEP XJ'S!!!
Here are some I took of the last one I built -
I don't want to cut and fold my quarters so I weld the bottom bar on off of the Jeep.
Also, not pictured is the rear receiver hitch.
The big nut on the tubework is what the tire will be centered to -

Have you thought about angling the tire more? Maybe not having it perpendicular to the ground but more along the slope of the back glass? I feel it would tuck in closer and look smoother.

I just finished "well almost nearly finished" my fold down. The only thing I am finding is that the 35" tire on OEM 17" rims is a bit much to lift up. I thought with the extra leverage lifting the 90 pound tire would be easier, guess I was mistaken. Unfortunately my back has been on the fritz lately making lifting it a bit of a challenge. I need to finish painting the quick release latch, so that should help some of the locking challenges.

Big, but I kind of like it. Have you ever considered doing a swing-a-way version like this with the cage like it is instead of folding down?
