dual swing maybe?
Tire on one side and jerry cans on the other? And how stout are the hitch receivers? Class II, III?? |
Dual swing is what I was going for originally. Still needs a bit of work to make that happen.
|
Tire on drivers side, cans on passenger is how I would want mine.
|
How much of a trailer can you pull using that recevier?
|
I have pulled a 1500 lb trailer with no issues. I have also pulled 5,000lb rocks without issue.
We don't officially rate the bumpers for towing for liability reasons but they are plenty strong to tow with. With 14 tie in points it has more attachments to the jeep than a stock hitch. |
I'm digging this design. I like the idea of a dual swing or single swing or...
Heck, it's a modular design. I haven't seen anyone else with this type of product. Bolt on after the fact is a great idea. Especially with TWO swing outs. It add a lot of flexibility and for those of us with limited fabrication skills, easily modifiable. The base bumper is priced fairly. So long as you don't get carried away with the swing outs I think you will have a really popular product. I realize that people price products not so much on cost to make but on what the market is willing to pay. I totally get that. I don't think I am the only one who has held off on a rear bumper and swing out because paying $1000 or there bouts is simply not within our means or comfort zone. So a filling that gap between cheapo Ebay products that look clumsy and the mega $$$$ bumpers is a smart move. So yeah, I'm already trying to talk your price down... :) |
