CavFab Jeep XJ/MJ/ZJ/TJ CrossOver Steering!

Looking to order the steering kit this week and possibly the track bar sometime down the road. Currently have the IRO kit and track bar, 5/8" already drilled on the knuckles and pitman. Will the Cavfab track bar work with the IRO double-shear bracket, or will it only work with the RE bracket?
Also, does the steering kit make any noise or have any kind of vertical play whatsoever? One reason I'm looking to upgrade is because the heim bodies on the IRO tie rod rattle against their mounting washers due to the eye gap on anything but smooth roads. It's either that or the drag link misalignment washer. It drives me absolutely nuts.

The Currie Joints we use on our track bar require a 2" inner width mounting on the frame bracket..I don't believe the IRO bracket will work as I think its like 1-5/8" but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the info.
I think maybe the heims are just worn out, because I don't remember hearing them bang around before. It takes a little bit of effort compared to rolling down the road, but I can rock the tie rod up and down with my hands. I can probably make some thin spacers to dampen it a bit or just try replacing the heims for now. Had the same problem with the drag link until I replaced the ends on that. Seems like it's just a common problem with heims as they wear and age, regardless of the system.

Anyone running 16 or 17" rims with this and have any clearance issues with 4.25 to 4.75 backspacing? i dont forsee any issues with the larger rim diameter over the bolt heads.

4.75 should work as well...but we personally have not tried it. Anything over a 15" should allow for sufficient clearance with essentially any backspacing though.

Heres some reference photos from when i installed.
5.5" backspace on 15" rim for reference
3.5" backspace on 15" rim

Wore through another heim on the pitman arm, letting the drag link drop onto the tie rod again. Wondering if there’s anything to do about it or if it’s always just going to wear out the edges of the heims and misalignment spacers since the weight hanging off the front. I’ve been on two trips with this heim, and it looked fine after the last trip then I put maybe 800 road/gravel road miles on it and it’s toast. It had almost wore all the way through the misalignment spacer when I replaced it last, so I’m sure it’s wearing into the bolt by now. It has been professionally aligned and set up so it’s not my crappy install or alignment job causing it. I can feel the lining coming out of the heim on the pitman side of the drag link. Also, not sure what gave in or bent, but the top of the bolt for the drag link/tie rod has come into contact with the wheel. I’m going to check and see if I can find out what happened there.

Any clue when the black Friday orders will be shipping? Have to get steering under it asap and need to know whether I should go buy new stock parts for the mean time.
