What ever happened to being able to ask questions about a product?
I bring up perfectly reasonable questions and he gets all pissy.
The definition of "Stubby" was just my opinion. When I hear "Stubby" I think high clearance. You wouldn't have to worry about that in FL since yours is just a mud truck.
The D-ring topic has been covered a million times. I just can't see why he'd choose to go that route when it's pretty well known that trailer tie-down D-rings don't belong in vehicle recovery.

I don't go into others threads and say what I DON'T like about their product... I simply hit that nifty little back button and go about my business. It boils down to if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, especially in a vendor forum where most of us here are simply trying to make a living.
I'm not sure which black button you're referring to.
Just because you're a 'vendor' on a forum doesn't omit you from criticism.

I do have another question that would certainly help with your design with the approach angle issue.
Why not have your customer relocate the control box that's on top of the winch and shorten the bumper up as much as possible until the back of the winch is significantly closer to the OEM cross member? In your pictures it appears that there's several inches of clearance to gain there.
Edit:
Ah, looking back I see that the rear plate appears that it's butted against the flange that sticks off the front of unibody. My idea wouldn't help in this situation so you can disregard my suggestion.
