2000 Grand Cherokee Tranny Slip HELP!
I have a 4.7 liter 2000 GC with 135K on it. It has started to stutter in the tranny (slip I beleive). It generally happens around 55-60MPH on the highway when the rpms are below 2,500. when you get past that it seems to be fine.
This is when I can get it to be at its worst.
I tried changing the fluid and adding Lucas Trans additive but if anything it got worse after changing the fluid. (Maybe the same bit certainly not better)
Any suggestions?
Am I looking at a rebuild?
I do think the repair person adjusted any bands??
PLease help I do not want to have a costly repair bit already spent $120 changing the fluids etc?
