My 2014 trailhawk doesn't do this - there's no volume control on the Aux I/P with nothing connected.
However, what you describe is to be expected, considering that the Aux I/P is Analog (all other inputs are digital), so is subject to interference - especially when the input is open circuit.

If you have no volume control and you have the 2014 then clearly you do NOT have 14.25.5 software version, nor the 8.4" Uconnect . Please change your vote so we are all on the correct page.

Don't know about the software version, but I most certainly DO have the 8.4" Uconnect.

And why bother having a poll, if you think you know what everyone should vote anyway?

other than the software version, that would stand to be on point, about the analog, but... this just could be on a certain amount of vehicles off a certain line and time frame...

I made this vote before Chrysler bluntly told me there is no fix for the issue. So really this thread is pretty much useless. It's too bad , I also have this noise with something hooked up .. this has all been covered in the other thread.

this also could be the source of that electronics glitch that has giving me issues randomly, the whole vehicle is tied together, and if 1 thing shorts.. it all does.. could say in theory, but.. phhht.. we all know if a computer or device has a bad anything the whole things going to go south sooner than later.. its a valid issue and im not paying for preinstalled broken... they can fix it.. and i know a judge would rule in favor of the device not working properly.. its that obvious.

the paranoid conspiracy theory side of me says, this jeep is so smart, its using sound and data to program the driver subliminally...

i made that call today, they were out of office, ill hold out until they are in office and start an official complaint. use a social network to pass the message to other jeepers..

Your leg is going to stay with you. More so, I was able to hear the noise even louder than yours: engine running, too, volume fairly low. Exact same flutter you're getting.

I'd say the AUX port was completely unusable, which ought to be maddening for anyone hooking in an MP3 player. I use my USB port a lot with a thumb drive, with no problems. Thank goodness I do.

im going to show the mechanics the fault when i take mine back in for the recall, seems the side airbags will detonate on steep angles .. lol.. so.. get yers checked... got my OFFICIAL recall letter in the mail today..
