Also there is somekind of sealer that he gave me to put on it after is was done. It made it shine really nice. Iam trying to get some more of it now. Ill let u know what it is if i find out. CAUTION...Do not put Armor-All on it. Yes my friend that sprayed it is a Professional at it. He has is own technique to get that bumpy finish on it. He sprays like say the hood then then sprays rt back over that area then uses a flicking motion to get the texture u see inthe pictures. Then he moves to another small area and so on.
I called the guy today that sprayed it. Its brand name is Eagle, Its is just like Rhino-line. To do it you have to take the paint off down to the metal. The front part of my jeep (1997) with head lites and grill is Fiberglass, u will have to sand the paint off of that part too. This stuff sticks to everything but plastic. Take all lights and fenders and such off and tape it like a regular paint job, but u have to use a tape that has a metal wire in it. This is to cut it and make a straight lineof the stuff arourd windows and such when u pull the tape off.The grider i used was a air grinder that spun about 13000rpms with these corse disks of sandpaper. It took me Friday night and Sat. and Sunday. It was real shiny like tinfoil. If you do it plan to have it sprayed asap as your dont want it to get moisture on unpainted metal . Someone else was asking how much it weighed. I am guessing 50 to 100pounds, but Ill ask and find out for sure. It cost me 600.00 but it was done by my friend who sprays truck bed. Otherwise it would have been about 2500.00
I cant remember the name of it. Ive been calling it 'Rhino Line' Its a type of spray in bedliner for pickup trucks. U mix two chemicals at the spray gun and it comes out hot and when it cools in about 15min or so its ready to go. Ill get back with u later on the exact name of it.
