Hey thanks for the heads up. I am embarrassed! As for the diamond plate, first I took my measurements (length & height) marked on the back where to cut. Then I sandwiched the diamond plate between two peaces of 3/4" plywood. One peace laying flat on the floor. Then with diamond plate laying face down on that peace of plywood, then I layed the other peace of plywood along the cut line and screw both ends of ply together. Now you have a straight edge to cut along or to score for a bend. On the bending, once I have it scored on the back where I want to bend it, I move to my BIG wood bench that is well secured to the wall. With the diamond plate laying face up, I line up the scored line just at the outside edge of the bench, then I take a peace of 1x5 and screw it down to the bench at both ends with just the part you want bend hanging over. Then I use a peace of 2x4 and my body weight to bend it over.
I used a 18 volt Dewalt grinder with a metal cutoff wheel to make all my cuts and to score for bends. I used a fine metal file to round and finish all the edges. After all the cutting and bending was done I used a tool box liner for a gasket. It's the stuff you can buy at Fred Meyers and it comes in 18x18 for a buck a piece. When it's new it sticks to that metal like you glued it. Then I just trimmed it with a razor blade. Hold in place, drill holes and screw in place with pan head screws. I hope this helped and did not confuse you. Let me know if there is anything I can help with. Good luck.
Heres a link to my album you will fid some pics there.
