I imagine it would be easy to sink a small fortune into it. Parts will definately be harder to locate for it than an older CJ. I just want to get it to a reliable driving condition and use to run around town.

Steep? I have seen rusted out wrecked shells with no drivetrain sell for $3K-$4K. The only thing that will stop me from buying it is if it's rusted all to hell.
