Hey, I like my flare job too, it was very easy and inexpensive. That first cut is a little scary but you get over it. Let me know when you’re ready to cut, I’d be more than happy to help. I ran 31’s for some time but I really enjoy my 33’s, big difference. It takes a bit but it will still wind up to 80mph on the flats. With the abuse I put this rig through, I was popping front u-joints with both the 31’s and 33’s. Solved the problem when I swapped out my 90 axle shafts that had the 260 u-joints for a set of 96 axle shafts with the 297 u-joints, $20 for both sides at a pick-n-pull. C-ya

No dude stick with the 31"s everyone thinks they need 33" or bigger but it has pros & cons. Cons; loss of upward travle as the 34"s WON'T fit up in ur wheel wells, no more doing 65mph+, you will alway be blowing front u-joints, you will lose the turning radious jeeps are known for, & the total price of the tires & upgraded axles!Pros; u will have better approch/deparcher angles, less damage to ur diff, & of course the meaner stance!I know I can follow a guy on 38"s & take all the same lines he does, cause I have! Kane creak, moab last month!U would be better off getting armor, lockers, & a 2" BB (pucks & shackles) with all the money you would spend on tires!!!

Thanks for your comments. Your 31" might fit, with the seat up, like I did mine, I don't remember if I tried it. Your XJ is nice looking, I like your rear bumper. I have a few (bumpers) I've been looking at, but most don't have the options I want or the look. This http://www.rigidco.com/FbLTD.htm is the one I'm pretty sure I'll get for the front (I really like how the bottom is "Tapered" back. I want that look for both the front and the back bumpers) and something like this http://www.logansmetals4x4.com/id8.html for the rear, I'm not happy with the hitch "not rated" statement. I will probably get http://www.cassidyscustom.com/ to make me a rear bumper. They don't show them now, on their website, but at our Show (www.pajeeps.org) this year they had a ZJ rear bumper that looked 95% of the way I want it. They said they were just finishing up a prototype (of the same design) for an XJ. Whenever I decide to install a winch, this is the way I plan on doing it http://ericsxj.com/winch/winchbumper.htm Eric is pretty cool. I email him once and I got a response within 24 hours! I like what he's done to his rig and the fact that he posts his work so you can get ideas, and know how, from his labor. WOW... I've rattle on for a while, sorry. Take Care.... Jack
