Picture Roof rack, spare tire, shovel mount, hi-lift jack mount.
Homemade roof rack, spare tire mount, shovel and hi-lift mount. $90 for the whole deal. Bought all the stuff at Home Depot and stepson Harley and I built it in the garage.

Yeah, I know it looks like a $90 home made rack, but it works. We wheeled the heck out of it this weekend and it held up fine.

Picture Harley at the Sedona Broken Arrow Trail Playground
Stepson Harley's first real wheeling trip. He's 15 and still on his permit. We've spent the last few months lifting and fixing lots of little things on his XJ. These are some photos from the playground area where there are some neat steps n V's n such to mess around on. As you can see traction is as good as it gets. It was a perfect place for him to find out what he can get over, where his ground clearance is, what the break over is, and how far he can push it on off camber stuff (had her rocking a few times). Also some other photos from a couple different trails. He did great.

Picture Getting there......
Embarassed to say........Yes I did go out and purposely find stuff to put a wheel on and shamelessly took poser pictures. I had to see if the changes made any improvement, and they did.

Did the steering box adjusting thing, and man did that help out. Steering is nice n quick again.

Made a set of front sway bar quick disconnects this morning and went out to see if it helped. The rear sway bar has been removed permanently.

Picture Got some work to do
Went out and played around to see what the suspension would do. This is with both sway bars connected. A little disappointing, but at least I know what I'm up against.

Picture Stepson's 92 XJ
All stock, but getting lifted. Already picked up a 3" RC lift, replacement set of rims and some 31X10.5 all terrains. We got this for my 15 year old stepson. He's working with me on it, and doing well. He picks up on things pretty quick.
