kind of a dumb title i know, but i couldnt think of a better more direct one..lol

anyways, im just wondering who in here, when they go visit a member of the family, just so happens to also be visiting one of the most beautiful places in the country, in your opinion of course

im just thinking of that, bc next week im taking it off work to go up to my dads place in Michigans gorgous U-P ..

he lives just outside of a town called Paradise and he lives right on White Fish Bay there on lake superior...you can see our "neighbors to the north" from his front window...lol..

and they have trail every where up there...some that take you to some great fishing inland lakes, and some take you across the land to another part of lake Superior...you can bet tha till be doing a lot of explorying up there in the WJ when i go

heres some pics from a couple of the times ive been there

this is just a couple miles down his beach

this is pretty much right out his front door

one of the roads up there

this was right after i crossed the 5 mile long bridge over the straights

this was wheni was up there one spring..lol

one of the inland lakes

frozen superior

the light house up there on the point

his road

ill try to spell this....tequahnamon falls about 5 miles from him

I live in my favorite vacation spot. With all its on again off again business and working really hard for 4 months during the summer and not working hard at all for most of the year. I like it.

I couldn't imagine living anywhere else

The only thing that I wish were a little different is that there were more off road action. Yeah I can drive miles and miles on the beach but there are no actual trails or anything.

yea thats exactly how it is up there too...my dad is retired and thats why he moved up there, altho they still own a farm down here about an hr from me, but even tho he is retired, he still works his butt off during the summer, then takes it easy the rest of the year, just trying to keep his hold YJ running so they have a 4WD for all the snow they get

We each have differing ideas about great vacation spots so the answer may be different depending upon where we like to go for vacation. I would rather go to the mountains while my wife prefers the beach.

My parents are actually in the middle of purchasing a winter home. Its on an island called Isle Muejeres, Its right off the coast of Cancun Mexico... Ive been there a ton of times and i guess they like it so much, there going to live there in the winters when they retire. But for now i think they are just gonna let the family use it for vacations.
