Well the tweeters are 1" in diameter, so they don't look to be over 1" in mounting depth. I've heard of people getting aftermarket tweeters to fit in the Infiniti sail panel.
I don't have the panels or the tweeters yet. Also, for those of you who have added mdf spacers, what is the maximum thickness before your speaker hit the back of the plastic door panel? I'd like to not have to cut a hole in my plastic panels for the driver. EDIT: Here is a pic of the infiniti tweeter sail panel

Mount them in the factory location, under the dash, ( about knee height, and look like vents.) That's where my are.

But I really didn't need them, with the 3 way full range, I have in the doors.

don't see why it would. should increase the sound quantity unless you buy the cheapest stuff walmart has on its rack.

If you guys are looking for s good priced great performing amps check out the DB Drive series http://www.dbdrive.net/products-deta...es=A3%20Series
I'm picking up the 80.4 and 1000.1 tomorrow. A good friend of mine owns a successful audio shop in my area and he highly reccommended these to me. I'll follow up and let you know how I like them. Going to be driving a single 10" JLW3 and 2 set's of MB quart 6.5" components. I got both amps for just a hair over $300 and my boy swears they are bulletproof and he's never led me wrong before |

android tablet dash mod off roading, but this is my shock proof android mount.
1. Began with cutting back center vents and sealing completely. 2. Wired for five channel amp under right rear seat. 3. Wired two *****, which you can see on the left, for master volume and bass control. 4. Charger is wired to ignition. The home button is not accessible with the cover so I wired the momentary button under the ***** to temporarily disconnect power. That allows me to turn the screen on and off as I drive. A relocated home button if you will. 5. Made a mock tablet out of wood exactly to dimensions. Along with outline of screen. 6. Cut the rounded screen shape into quarter inch abs. 7. Heat wrapped the abs around the wood mock peace on the bottom and sides. The top is left open to allow the tablet to slide out. 8. Trimmed the dash bezel to allow the screen to be visible. 9. Super glued the mount in place. (Picture 1) 10. Hot glued large gaps. 11. With abs dash mods bond will absolutely crack so I used a 2 part plastic epoxy to mold my shape. 12. Sanded sanded sanded 13. Primer with sand able primer to fill pin holes (picture 2) 14. Painted. 15. Made a custom jeep wallpaper to match dash colors. Thanks for looking! Next project - molding air tank to left rear quarter panel ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
