Smile Glocks

I recently had the privilege of some training for combat pistol and carbine. I have since realized that my Glock 36 needs to go and that it should be replaced by either a Glock 17 RTF or a Glock 19 RTF. Any suggestions on which one I should get? Opinions welcome here :

I'd go with the 19, it's a bit smaller, easier to carry, and 15 rounds is still a crap ton of rounds. Going with the 17 will only buy you two more rounds of capacity...

Personally, I like the G26, its very small and very easy to conceal, but just big enough for me to get a solid grip on and shoot comfortably and accuratly. 9mm is a wonderful pistol round.

It's not like one is better than the other, I would just opt for the slightly smaller one, especially if you're going to carry this thing.

You can't go wrong with a glock...

Have a G22 & G27 both are 40cal and the G22 mags will fit the G27. I usually carry the G27 unless I am going out of town.

Im gonna get flamed. I can already feel it. I am a ruger fan. I got a p89 and a p90 and couldnt ask for more. I have shot glocks but just never cared for them and dont understand why everyone loves them so much.

I'm not gunna flame you.

To be honest, I've shot a ruger once in my life, it was a .40, I thought it was OK.

I've shot almost everything in 9mm, and there's two I like the best, Glocks, and something called an FB Radom p35. Look it up, it's my pops old gun, and it's the smoothest shooting 9mm ever...

Shot a .40 glock once, one of the small ones (g27?), didn't like it one bit, I don't mind shooting a .40, I just like to have a full sized frame (or at least close to it) if I'm going to shoot something as harsh as .40. .45 in a glock is nice...

I have a few Ruger revolvers and I like them but the semi autos are a bit ungainly in my small hands whereas the glock is a perfect fit.

Maybe thats my problem with glocks. They always just feel small. And Im not a big fan of plastic guns.

I traded my Glock 36 in for a g17. Then got myself a Springfield XD-9. I always loved the Glock, but once i felt the XD... That was the end of that. I ended up trading my G17 for my Baja Claws and some aluminum wheels.

Now my XD-9 has Crimson trace grips, and never leaves my side.

If you cant decide between the 2. Go to a gun range that you can rent guns at. They should have both of them. I have done that in the past when i couldn't decide what i wanted just by holding them.

I feel like I am the only person on here who doesn't have guns lol.

I don't have anything against them just don't own any and I have only shot 2 in my life.

One was a 38 and the other was a 45.

I like the look of the glocks but never gotten to shoot one.

For me it just has to do wit how i was raised. Grandpa taught me how to shoot when i was 9. In return i did the same with my daughter. At 7 She was helping clean my guns, and for her 9th birthday she got a Cricket rifle.

I love guns, I have some rifles, shotguns and some handguns. I don't like buying a handgun that I can't carry everyday, should I choose to. So far my handguns are my Springfield MilSpec 1911, Taurus 85UL, and newest is the Glock 23.

I carryt he Glock and snubby as a backup during the week and the 1911 + Taurus on the weekends. While I like the G17, personally, I wouldn't get it because it would be strictly a camping/range gun and I can't afford to spend that kind of money on a handgun that is limited. Some say the G17, 22, 21 are the same size as my full size 1911, I dissagree. I can carry my 1911 a lot easier than a full size Glock.

My G23 carries so comfortably, and it is the same size as the G19. I say go for the 19 and shoot the crap out of it. It would make a hell of a carry piece and it will take G17/34 mags all day or hell even the 33 rounders
Good luck.
