Plus 1 on the First answer. My Son did the Disney program and found that You stay poor and work a LOT! He still lives in Orlando but Kissed Disney good bye several years ago. Based on what I know I can't recommend it. The time spent there is better spent in School.

Walt's been dead for a Long time now, I don't think His political leanings are relavent to the question asked.

I going this fall to Disney College Program and I have many friends that have gone to it and they really recommended it, ( im studying hotel management and hospitality), at the College Program you do work a lot, from 35 to 45 hours a day at low season, but if you in the Tourism or Hospitality Industry having Disney in your Resume its BIG,

also the college program (CP) you get pay for it, but its not like a big pay check, its just enough to get buy and if you manage it well, then gets some fun time while your at it. the pay is from $7.21 to $8.14 per hour... so you can do the math, and well in the CP if you live in the "dorms" well that gets automatically discounted from your weekly check, thats about 75 to 95 dollars per week.

Hope that Helps if you have any more Qs just PM me..

Belto

Edit: I just read the info on the link you posted, and its about the same thing that the CP, so its good

I have to disagree that last part, bc you get so much experience there, that no one can teach you in school.. ( that is if you go and work in something that you can get experience from bc if you go to sell, turkey legs,, well then I would have to agree with you) I just saying that if you play your cards right you might get a great experience and have a good time while your at it..

PS: Disney also offers Professional Management Internships that pay over $650 a week.. and for a college student that's more than enough..

I'm aware that the presentation they make looks good on paper. In most cases the reality doesn't live up to the promises. The fact is that they run Disney World on Student and Senior workers at low wage no benefit jobs.

I have been trying to get into disneys electrical apprenticeship for about 2 years now....

but im pretty sure this is not the same as what you want.

though the pay might suck, having it on your resume is what counts.

been there and done that, and im pretty much set now for work. and im 24
