I won a gift card to 4WD.com, I want a CB, whatcha think about this one? do i need to buy a antenna?

i used to run a cobra years back, there ok.
where are you thinking of putting it and yea you will need an antenna

not sure where i will put it, its just we go out and everyone has to come to me to tell me something that they have already discussed on the radio

I assume you are talking about the Cobra 19 DX (3 CBs showed up).. I am currently running the original Cobra 19.

You will need an antenna and for trail use a short one (fiberglass or metal) will be fine. A whip is the best but frowned upon for trail use as they swing around along due to hitting trees.

mine is in my center console [roof] and i had a whip on a spring, does go like the clappers when a tree hits it tho, but i have seen a fe fibreglass ones break

Whatever CB you do end up getting find the nearest CB shop (Most truck stops have one) and get it peaked and tuned good. Any CB right out of the box will suck as far as modulation and "swing".
