Bob'd long bed??
Anyone bob a long bed MJ before?
I've been looking for a short bed MJ for a while, but am thinking about checking out a couple of the long bed's I've ran across and bob'n the bed back to a short box length.
I've given up trying to find another J-10 SB like I used to have, and perhaps the MJ long bed bob'd with a 4 link rear suspension would be killer enough.
Thoughts? or anyone good a photoshop'n a look for me?

No personal experience, just a couple ideas.
Are you talking about buying a long bed and cutting it to be the same as a short bed? If so, seems like a lot of work for no real gain, unless you plan to make it unique. In a good way. Having worked sheetmetal before, I hate it. I wouldn't take on that project.
Perhaps you could find just the short bed and bolt it onto the long bed frame. Would save a lot of sheet metal work. Assuming you find a long bed in excellent shape, that would make the work of locating a short bed worth it.
If going full custom, then a custom flat bed or fabricated box would be cool.

YES!!!!
Looking to go with the RedBull mat Purple off the formula 1 cars for the main color, and the lower section N flairs will be bedliner.
I actually like the look of the bob'd long bed after Binging some images. Wheel base would be good too. I'm thinking 6"s behind the rear flairs chopped off would be good. Probably fill in the tail lights and install some LED's, do a nice custom bumper for the departure angle.
This thread is worthless without pics, but hopefully soon i'll end up finding the right deal and right truck to start with.

lol. Yeah, that I already got. I like the "slight" extra wheel base length with the bob'd bed at the back. 4-linked rear would look good with a long arm 3 link front. Not thinking more than 35's tho., just something low and capable for a daily that can take the trails too.

I know, I mentioned right above the links stating that I couldn't get to the page of the process but once you browse through the build page you'll find the progress
