Got to test drive it at Jeep Beach this year. There were only nine of us MId put of 2000+ rigs so we got first shot for tests and input. The little diesel has good TQ for what it is and climbed the hills/inclines they had built without hesitation. The Low COG also helped out as we tried the "banked" track/turn.
Granted it is a repurposed Renegade but it wasn't meant to be a full-size like the old J trucks. It was geared twords the Compact pickup market like our MJs originally were.

If traversing bad terrain and trails are your thing, go with one of the Kaiser truck concepts. Of you have light trails or forest service roads, this would be fine.
