97 XJ power train to 88 MJ
What's up fellas,
I have a line on on a complete 97 with 6" Rustys lift and a SYE. I'd like to use the XJs axles as well. Are the axles and lift bolt in? Where the control arms mount on the XJ is different as it lacks a frame. Are any major mods required? Coming to keep the MJs 4.0 and tranny for now. Will the rest bolt? Thanks
MJ is short bed with 4.0, manual and 2 inch lift currently.

All should swap except for rear leaf springs and axle.

Damn I was really hoping to go axle over. Thanks cruiser. How bad is modding the rear I'd rather have the 8.25 if possible. Just welding mounts?

if you mean spring over, this will net you more lift than you expect. somewhere between 4 and 6 inches.
