I thought the 20 was as strong as a 44 with one piece axles, not a 9". I think the amc20 is a sweet and rare axle now a days.

Poor mans 9" was the old nickname for the 20. It was wayy easier and cheaper to find than the 9" with a damn near indestructible differential. The narrow trac models had two piece axles where the FSJ and Mj models had one piece shafts.

What did you do with the older h.d. bumper? Would it be for sale? (hope its' not like 80lbs.
Might be better on my son's 88 since its' his first car/vehicle..
Another thing. I'm just under Memphis, tn. If you come across any more comanche's I'm looking for a R/R tail light.
Cherokee's all day long but NO comanche's.
Thanks for your time E

I've only seen 3 comanches in the jy since I've gotten mine a few years ago...I see them in the street a lot. Miami is a big city but only 2 u pull it yards...if I do come across any ill let you know...
You should check out comancheclub.com there's usually guys selling a set of tail light for about $80-100+ shipping to your house....that's actually cheap compared to how rare these trucks are...
