I agree, that's pretty neat. That would be pretty handy, though a pita to work on I'm sure.

If I'm not mistaken, the concept had a hemi upfront and in the rear, powering both axles. It indeed would be BADASS.

They produced the Hurricane concept and then junked it because it would have been a nightmare to produce and maintain. Not to mention the EPA would have bricked themselves. I think that one was about 10 years ago I would of rather had the 3/4 ton truck framed wrangler (Rescue?) concept or the Nukizer concept. Preferably with the 6.7L Cummins or the 3.0L VM respectively.

I definitely agree that it is cool, but I would be too afraid of breaking anything to drive it (no place to store your spare parts).

Yes, it was a concept when AM General's (AMC) HMMWV contract was up, hence the 0 turn radius, to replace the HMMWV but was canned.

@metal Do you think the 3.0L diesel or the 3.6L pentastar would fit in the KL? If the diesel would fit I'm assuming a whole new transmission transfer case would be needed to handle the torque and is probably in no way practical at the moment but would be nice in a future project maybe. But if the engineers could fit the 3.6L they could add another trim level say the SRT6 assuming they wouldn't need to change the rest of the drive line. And then maybe conversion options would come out for the rest of the KL lineup. Or is this thinking a complete waste of time? I figured asking in this thread would be preferable to creating a new one.

they should fit.. the 3.2 is not much smaller than the 3.6 i do believe the european models have diesel options.
im no mechanic.. i do standard upkeep.. oil etc anything major i have a mechanic for..
electronics are more my thing.. but since retirement fishing and photography have been my thing. + jeeping to get their..
id love to see a supercharger on my 2.4 myself.. just for kicks. and these things have room for a bigger engine. id love to have a hemi crammed down into mine.. lol
