That'll happen in anything if you hit soft sand with small tires inflated to highway pressure. Looks like they hit it in FWD however... no sand on the rear wheels

Deep, too. I always loved the way the fairings and aerodynamic front bumpers scooped up the rocks as you're winching them out.

I was always looking over my shoulder to see if another truck might need to use it while I was parked there and winching!!

Yeah had that thought the whole time. Sould have said deep as that's the true stopping power.
Didn't see it but a friend ( who built the cr@p out of a jeep commando ) thought his truck could make it up one. Well even tho his jeep was much lighter that a simi, he didn't get very far -- soft and deep
