Cost prohibitive to the average Jeeper but still very helpful.

Yes, the new Subarus can be lifted. I think my husband is putting a 2" lift and skid plates on his 2015 Outback. They are just adding a spacer lift, the suspension is different than the new Cherokee. Since the new Cherokee is a Alfa Romeo/Dart platform car and the Subaru is more of a crossover platform.

Let's just get massively wide wheel spacers with really tall tires and turn it into a open wheel Cherokee.

I remember when it was all dirt roads and the PV police had a Ford Granada with a 6 cylinder engine and couldn't catch anyone.

Wonder if they have a lift kit for the Fiat 500 with AWD? They look a lot alike.

Well, that's cool. It's a LOT easier to lift an XJ. But don't give up on the KL, 'cause I think it would still cool to see someone lift one of these and make it more trail capable.

The Fiat 500X and the KL share the same platform, so if a lift is developed for one it should work on the other.
