And now look at em I personally hated wheeling in the military Humvees... It feels like you are riding an elephant. Tons of torque but no *****. The soft-top ones are a little better... The up-armored ones are terrible. They only fit 37s because they were designed for it at production.

I'm sure you could somehow get 37s on a KL but at what cost? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the KL and will probably get one. Just think solid axles are much more desirable and feasible for people like us.

True. The armored up ones are just too heavy for that little motor. The ones I was referring to was the soft tops. Just saying that if done right, sn IFS may be no hardcore rockcrawler but will get some to quite a few good backcountry scenic areas. Now if a company like Rocklizard designed kits to put solid axles into a Liberty, then its just a matter of time before someone does it for the KL. Patience is key in new developments.

They're having issues with designing lifts for its current suspension, I doubt anyone is thinking abount solid axel kits yet. Itd be cool but I want to see a lift kit first

I agree. I'm sure someone will come out with something. While most KL owners probably don't want one, I bet there are/will be enough TrailHawk owners to make it profitable.

Side bar- ever have the pleasure of driving an MRAP? I was gunning in one (International Maxx Pro) and the road collapsed underneath us on one side. 30,000lb slug. Ended up on its side. Luckily I was begrudgingly wearing a harness lol. Much prefer the Strykers.

Now someone suggested that a gear reduction, portal hubs would increase its prowess. Anyone else agree?

Default KL on NC beaches

A TrailHawk visited our beaches on Hatteras Island North Carolina. They splashed through salt water (going to have electrical issues in 2 weeks time) and then spun the tires and got stuck (both are driver errors).
Here are links to the slideshow and article. I could not pull the pics from it to post here.
