KL Sport -- Radio SCAN and Other "Huh?!"
So ....radio question but disclaimer....Long Time Grand Cherokee owner who just bought Sport 2 days ago and I"m not interested in the "KL not a cherokee" fiasco. SOME of us can only buy what we afford, and still want to keep a cherokee in the fam, so a used '14 sport is more Jeep than no Jeep so....I hope I can ask this question in peace. (I was encouraged on another thread to move it along to a KL thread because people on this one were "not keen on" what I consider my new dear baby. Felt like I walked into a neighborhood where my kind were not accepted, which is a bummer when we're here for Jeep "togetherness" .
The question: I have the dumbest most basic question and yes I have searched this first by several key words, googled and read the whole manual. But I can't find a SCAN feature on the radio. Does it not have one?
It's just one of several "hey waitaminit" moments of not being able to find very basic functions and discovering the Sport may not include it.
Any Sportsters who have already worked out the kinks, I'd love to hear... Radio-Scan specifically and tinkering generally.

Yeah I just read the manual and don't see it either, only 'Seek'... most likely they figured that people don't use that feature so unfortunately they omitted it... I believe the older radios (1990s-era) were like that as well... the stock radio in my old 1994 ZJ Grand Cherokee didn't have a 'Scan' button on it either.
Anyways, congrats on the KL! (:

By the way, if you want a scan button there are some aftermarket units available that will fit into the KL's dash with the help of a dash kit. You'll need a steering wheel control interface and wiring harness in order to get all the factory stuff to integrate into the radio properly and for the audio controls on the steering wheel to work (they won't work with an aftermarket unit unless you get the interface and program it and hook it up). You can also add a CD player, if you don't have one already.
