It was quite a thing to see - 78mph and the tach looked like somewhere between 1600 and 1700rpm. Wow.

Yeah, you might really be the first person outside of a Jeep lab to have done it. That's pretty cool.

I'm glad you noticed it happen, otherwise we'd still be waiting for that phantom gear!

with the 4 banger i run in 9th often... normally around 70 mph and up on the interstate... remember it programs its self to your driving style so if your not seeking that gear in the first stages of programming, in theory it wont be used as often in your travels as its programmed to your most common routes....

While changing the oil this a.m., i found that the connector for the tranny cooler, where the lines attach to the cooler, was leaking and spraying the cooler, a/c condenser, and radiator, plugging them with oil residue. all connections were tight, how can the average joe check the tranny fluid on this sealed unit, where can you buy the special tool, and where in the world do you check it?
And to "theotherdavestubbs" I got mine to finally shift into 9th last week on East bound I-80 in Nebraska at 84 mph.... pulled up the economy guage but didn't see a whole lot of difference...
