Driver window problem
Hello, I'm a new member. I just bought a 1998 Cherokee Sport. All the windows work correctly except the driver window. It only works while holding the button and closing the door for either direction. I thought before I re created the wheel troubleshooting it, I'd see if anybody else has been here.
Thanks
Thanks

check the wiring harness that runs from inside to the door, u cant miss it.. that is a pinch point.. my old xj had a similar issue and that was where i found the break in a wire, the plastic on the wire just got old over time and with opening and closing kinda wore a place out in it.. it happens. hopefully a simple barrel connector/ splice will solve your issue.. also.. remove the door panel, if you do not find the problem and simply trace each wire down to the window motor.. im 65.321% sure you may find the problem. ill leave room for my error if i misguided you. hope that helped you..
