Default 2015 Trailhawk uconnect 8.4 RA3 Problems

Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum, but not new to jeeps. I have a 2015 Trailhawk with the uconnect RA3 radio and I am having some problems with it. it will randomly dim the volume, and try to play an emergency alert with no sound, then go back to playing music. If the volume is down it will raise the volume and try to play the alert. doesn't matter if it is on am, fm, Sat, or even using the SD card.

I have taken it to the dealer and they said "cant replicate the problem". so I had my wife drive and I shot some cell phone pics of it. I was lucky and it did it 6 times back to back with about 5 seconds of radio in between each event.

I took it back to the dealer and showed them the pictures of it happening. they took it back in, and this time they were able to duplicate the issue and replaced the radio under warranty.

The problem is that the new radio started is doing the same thing as the old radio on the way home from the dealer tonight. I do not have a cell phone linked to it yet and I have not transferred my satellite radio to it yet. so I can eliminate those as a problem. has any one else had this issue? and if so what did you do to fix it? it is driving my wife nuts and we all know happy wife happy life

Sounds like it may have something to do with the cellular module if it plays an emergency alert, or at least tries to... maybe the 3G cellular module is going up?

I have been working with the Dealer and Andrea from Jeep Cares Social media. they have been great to work with. Unfortunately they don't seem to have an answer to the issue. the dealer seems to think it is an environmental issue with a local radio station or someone with a ham radio that is using it incorrectly and causing interference with the emergency alert signal. they also told me that there are a few more vehicles in the area that is having this problem.

I plan on taking it out of town this weekend to eliminate that as a variable. so we will see what happens then.
