last but not least, they can only pull the "just needed a software update for so long... mines been hauled back to the dealer a couple times on a roll back.. its getting tiring..
i do drive aggressive, but not destroy.. if that makes sense... its not jeep abuse to jeep hard... yall know the difference... if we was on the same rough trail i wouldnt be going any faster than anyone else.
so i cant say im doing anything wrong.. Fiat did...
heck, My 96xj i rarely did anything to it, besides brakes and the joints up front . didnt check the fluids until time to change.. lol.. i abused it and it had lots of miles on it... but man o man it was a trooper, and its still being driven..

no its happening in all models, the computer cant keep up, get in sand, snow or mud, the 4x4 will go out out and say 4 wheel drive not available... which makes no sense to me what so ever, also.. the vehicle becomes un responsive cant even put it in park... no joke.. this does constitute a problem for me, my driveway is about 275 yards long and steep, i live on top of a big mountain on the NC TN border, so, having this go out in the winter on a mountain could make me wipe out , we shall see... when it works, its great... may i add.. no excuses for this jeep knows better.. or should...
I just filed a lemon law compliant in New Jersey. I'm mad the dealer says it is 4 wheel drive. The mechanic and JEEP claim it is an all wheel drive. They refused to fix it.

I went to my lemon law hearing. Jeep says that the 4 wheel drive jeep Cherokee active drive was never intended to drive on the beach. So my interpretation is you are selling an all wheel drive vehicle as a 4 wheel drive vehicle which is fraud. they told me at the hearing that when the second traction control light illuminates that the 4 wheel drive has over heated. Let's see I took it two dealerships thAt couldn't tell me this. What are you hiding jeep!

That is crazy. We took delivery in Nov 2013 (we were in Florida at the time) and then returned to FLA in Jan 2014 with the Cherokee rather than our T&C. We got the same notice. A dealer in Florida couldn't figure out the problem nor could my own dealer on return to Canada at the end of Feb. A couple of months later they had the problem diagnosed and it involved changing the differential and a half shaft. Have never received that message again.
I think you might have been the victim of a snow job and an attempt by FCA to save money. We got the same message on dry pavement on I-75 in Florida, not on sand. We have AD II.
