I had asked this question before about my '16 Cherokee. I have the 8" antenna. It was very loose. The dealer had to reinstall....apparently it wasn't seated properly. Nice and tight. Went to my regular car wash, and the antenna is still seated properly No gap); but, it does wiggle very slightly at the base. Should I just leave it alone? I know this seems like a mundane topic...but I don't want to damage the antenna by going through a car wash again. Thank you.

Car washes are not very nice to the antenna, that is why I remove mine before going through the car wash.

Picked up a mattress the other day and removed the antenna to do so. Found it very loose. It has the equivalent of tire air valve threads. When I put it back on I made sure it was screwed down snugly But I will be checking it from time to time. But if you are asking weather that short stubby antenna can take the beating of a car wash I think it is pretty obvious it can. If I find it loosening again I will use locktite.

If you look at the end of the antenna it has 6 locking nubs that click into matching slots in the base; screw it down to where it is snug then go just a little tighter, it will click lock into place and shouldn't come out.

I wouldn't use Loctite, you will be reducing metal to metal connection and possibly reducing reception.

I went with the Visual Garage color match shark fin, it sits a little higher than the roof rails but just below my flush mount, whisper cross bars. The stubby antenna is ridgid unlike the OEM "rubber ducky" it may have other problems depending on you use.
